about us
our story
VINEYARD/Campbellsville is part of the Association of Vineyard Churches, USA, a growing community of churches 650 strong in the U.S. and another 600 churches internationally. You can check out the Vineyard movement at www.vineyardusa.org.
In October of 1996. VINEYARD/Campbellsville opened its doors for the first time. White plastic chairs and a tiny storefront housed the first 25 people who started the church. Three locations and 14 years later we a growing community of 250 people who love to hang out together, worship God, and encourage one another. Campbellsville is a farming community that also houses a university, so our congregation is a diverse assembly of young and old, U.S. citizens and international visitors, and just about any mix you can think of. You’ll feel at home here!
What are we all about here at the Vineyard? Our goals are to develop the character of Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, in order to set the captives free. We have focused on the gospel of the Kingdom of God as we see Jesus proclaiming and demonstrating the in-breaking of God’s Kingdom in the gospels.
We try to insure that the Kingdom message finds practical, everyday application in our community life: outreach to the poor and oppressed, ministries of healing and restoration, and the good news that the Kingdom of God is still advancing and breaking in today just as it has since the days of Jesus.
You’re invited to come taste and see.
